Subway Suitcase Table

This is my second Suitcase Table. I used a bucket list of places I would like to visit. For the base I used an old vanity bench seat to attach the suitcase table to it. I really love how this piece turned out, and it has already sold. http://linda-coastalcharm.blogspot.com/

Suitcase Table

I have been wanting to make a suitcase table for sometime now. So..... here is my latest completed project, and I just have to say I LOVE IT!. I found the suitcase at a local thrift store, and the luggage rack at a yard sale. I painted the suitcase in ASCP in graphite and striped it in old white. I attached it to a luggage rack which is also painted in graphite. The inside of the suitcase has great storage also!

White Hutch

I wanted to share with you this hutch. We bought this piece with the matching table and chairs from a lovely older couple. We added bead board to the inside of the hutch. I painted it in Old White and dry brushed with French Linen I then used Graphite to accentuate the curves on the legs and the details on the piece. I Then  stenciled on the raised ovals on each side of the hutch  and then distressed the piece. I finished with a light and dark wax. Here is a before:

Notice the gold casters. We changed those too.

French Numbered Dresser

I finished this dresser today and I am excited to share with you the pictures. After the repair of the piece, I base coated it in Old White so  when I distressed the piece the white would show through it. I painted the dresser in a mixture of Paris Grey, Graphite, and French Linen. I mixed the three colors together because  I was looking for a  Smokey Grey in color. I really like the way the 3 colors turned out. I then painted  diamond shapes in Old White over the holes where the dresser knobs go. I choose glass knobs so you can see the painted diamond shapes through the clear knobs. I also painted French numbers on the drawer fronts.

New Piece

This is my latest completed dresser, and  I really, really love the way it turned out. It is painted in the Martha Stewart collection in the color Moss Green. The stripes on the dresser are painted in Old White Chalk paint. I then sanded it to a smooth finish and waxed it in the AS light and dark wax. Lastly, I  buffed the heck out of it and then went over it again in the light wax. I was going to purchase new handles for the piece, but I ended up painting them in the same moss green color and then white washing them in AS Old White and again finishing by waxing in the light and dark wax.

This dresser actually has the original key that goes with it too. I hate to part with it but it is going down to my booth spot this Friday. I hope it ends up in a good home with someone who loves it has much as I do.

What's Up?

Looking over my past posts ( I need to get better about posting more often) it seems like I always type the phrase,  I have been so busy. It's true and I couldn't be any happier about it too. The last picture of the dresser I posted has sold and when I went down to my spot today to fluff the space for the weekend there was an empty spot which means another piece had sold too. I brought a new piece with me (good thing) and put it in the empty spot and hopefully it will go home with someone this weekend too. Here are a couple of random photos. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Finanlly some pictures

I have been so busy I have not had a chance to take pictures of the new items I have completed, and some pictures of my new booth set up, but mostly just because I have a crummy camera and the the person taking the photos (me)  is not so hot at it either. I really like my new space and hope it continues to be successful!

Painted dresser in Old White ASCP and lightly distressed.
