That's right I'm moving on up! After a very successful week at my booth site, I have now moved up to a larger booth, and I really love the new spot. I have a room all to myself it is a small room but once again it is progress. My son, Jordan, and I went down today and moved into the new site. I decorated for fall and it looks really nice. I will post the pictures later this week. As far as new projects go, hmmm... lets see...... I am currently working on a chest of drawers, media table and an end table. I will also post the pictures of the finished projects later this week. Jack and I are planning on a weekend getaway and I am going to try and squeeze in a trip to the out of town antique stores as well.
I am feeling really blessed to be able to do what my heart has longed to do. There is nothing better than being able to work for yourself, and the fact that people have come into the shop and have purchased stuff from my site to put in their homes really blows me away.

Booth Update
Well after little to no sleep Friday night. Jack and I loaded up the truck early Saturday morning with some of my inventory for my booth space. We arrived at 7am and started unloading the truck and moving furniture and accessories into my spot. I can't tell you how excited and nervous I was at the same time.
After about 2 1/2 hours later with everything in its place, staged and tagged, we left the shop and hoped for the best. I had bittersweet feelings about leaving the pieces I had worked so hard on. I grew attached to these pieces of furniture after the time I spent working on them. I hoped that someone would see the beauty in them that I did.
While we were having a late breakfast, I got a call from the shop owner that my large dresser had sold. I almost dropped my cell phone when he told me because we had just left the shop and I could not believe that my stuff was going to sell that fast. He also told me that a few more of my items had sold as well. I can't tell you how happy I was that all my hard work was paying off. So we scarfed up our food and back to the shop we went to stock my spot with another large piece of furniture to replace the dresser that had sold.
So as far as a first day goes in my booth spot I think it went very well. My goal is to be able to rent a larger space in the future. I hope it continues this way because I really love what I am doing. No more high heels for this gal. I will take sawdust and paint any day!

MIA
Sorry for the absence, but I have been working on setting up a booth space. After much hard work, I now have my tiny piece of pie to showcase some of my items, and when I say tiny I really do mean tiny, but what the heck it's a start and I am really excited about it too. Here are some of the pictures of my booth site.

Sprucing Up
We painted our house this summer and did a little sprucing up. I have wanted some topiary trees for the front of the house for some time now, but the nursery we went to had the price at $164 a piece. Well we found some at one of the big box stores for $65 a piece so of course I grabbed two of them and now they have a new home on each side of my garage. I also painted some flower pots in a polka dot pattern and now they also have a home in a wire window box.

Chalk Paint Is Here.
Well it looks like I will be delving into the world of ASCP. I have these two tables I have been waiting to try chalk paint on. I am going to do the top with a Old White dry brush method and for the bottom of the tables I will paint them in Paris Grey. I will then finish them up with a dark wax finish. I will post the pictures when they are done. Wish me luck!
